Lunar Eclipse
The eclipse last night was great fun.
A clear chilly night made viewing spectacular. eek
It was a chance to learn some night photography skills.

Something new I'm trying this year is Oca (See here)
Looks interesting! cool
I've planted them in large pots so I can move them around.
They don't like too much heat.
So I'll move them to the shade in summer.

These common birds must be nest building now.
They are hunting around in the mulch
and taking off with bits of straw and twigs.

Dark and rough at the bottom.

In full flower now to brighten up winter.
In danger of becoming a declared weeds in some areas.
Not in my dry garden though!

Legless Lizard
Not entirely a true name because they do have tiny legs as you can see
but they don't use them and move in a snake-like way.
People often mistake them for snakes but these are harmless!
This fellow was asleep under a rock that I disturbed while weeding.

The ladybirds are waking up with the warmer weather.
I only hope they survive any cold spells we may get.
It's still over 2 months until our 'last frost' date in October!

Potato Sprouts
This Royal Blue Potato is nearly ready to plant.
The shoots are Purple because of it's blue skin.
The leaves when they grow will still be green.
