Just finished planting out this shade house.
It's on the South side of our house
and should bring cool breezes through the window in summer.
The water feature in the corner makes a soothing sound.

Lemon Thyme - Thymus citriodorus
A tough little herb with a citrus tang.
Great used with chicken.
Grown here alongside chives.

Tough little flowers that keep on self-seeding.
Useful in the vegetable garden for attracting beneficial insects.

Another very tough 'water-wise' plant!
Unfortunately it comes with a poison warning see here.
Especially for cats (on this list) although my cat never goes near it!

Another little toughy!
You guessed it a declared weed in parts of Australia.
Not here yet!! Thankfully.
I didn't notice the bug on it untill I edited the photo!

These first peas are a bonus.
I didn't really expect to be getting peas so soon,
I just experimented with them.

Kangaroo Apple fruit - Solanum aviculare
Ripening in the garden now.
I haven't found a use for these yet,
they're not very nice eaten raw.
The birds eat them though.
That might keep them off my apple trees!

This form of garden sage is a favourite!

New Rhubarb

That was when I tidied the old plants,
they have really taken off.

Almost have weed status in my garden!
They are useful though, having medicinal qualities
with edible petals to add colour to salads.
So easy to grow!
